About
A brief history of both store & owner
Heaven Stitch & Design opened in downtown Fernie May 6th 2008 and is owned & operated by Naomi Lentz. Although the shop is new, the alterations side of the business has been running for a number of years from Naomi's spare room. However much to the relief of Jeff (her husband), the ever striving alterations business and exciting new yarn store have now combined, left their house in peace & opened its new downtown doors, catching the eye of both regular locals & visitors just passing through town.
Naomi herself has been in the sewing & design business for many years. Graduating from Olds College, Olds with a Diploma in Fashion Production in 2002 she has since been altering more hems than you can shake a stick at. Tripping over your pants? Then come by and she'll say, "Ah, it's easy, no problem to fix". Then what are you waiting for?

Ana Mihalj • Look out, she's coming! You'll hear her before you see her and she'll have you trying on one of her crocheted bikinis before you know it. A great, enthusiastic and 'regular' edition to the Heaven team.

Alterations
When not dealing with yarn, Naomi spends a lot of her day doing alterations. Below is a basic price list, but please contact her directly for a complete price list. Custom sewing and unlisted alterations are charged at a rate of $16/hr. And there is a minimum charge of $5.00 for sewing services.

Since fall 2009, Heaven has branched out into Consignment Clothing. So, as well as the place to buy your yarn and get your clothes altered, if you're in a rush, you can grab yourself a perfect old/new outfit on the spot! Heaven takes on consignment at a 60-40%, so you get 40% of the sale! Not bad for a load of clothes you were never going to sell. Just please make sure they are clean, in good shape and are seasonal! And, if they don't sell, Naomi and her staff will ensure they make it to the Salvation Army, so someone in need will benefit from your belongings. Pop into the store to find out more!
